Scale X

The ScaleX cartridge's unique matrix design is a breakthrough in scale and corrosion protection. This innovative cartridge provides a controlled release of Siliphos, a food grade scale and corrosion inhibitor. Controlled release provides effective scale and corrosion protection over the entire life of the cartridge. This Siliphos is co-extruded with food grade polyethylene to form a unique matrix-structure. This unique form prevents the Siliphos from bonding to itself and caking, which is a common problem with grandular polyphosphate cartridges. The ScaleX method of introducing the scale and corrosion inhibitor ensures that the dosing in more accurate and consistent.

Siliphos is a proven product that works to inhibit both scaling and corrosion. The polyphosphate n Siliphos acts to sequester the microscopic crystals (calcium carbonates commonly referred to as lime) found in most all tap water that form scale, particularly on metal surfaces. This silicate in Siliphos acts by forming a microscopic protective layer on the surface of the metal components of your food service equipment and plumbing. This layer keeps agressive water and/or fumes from the chloring in the water from attacking the metal surfaces preventing pitting and corrosion.
